Leaking transmission

I've always used professionally designed, engineered, tested jack stands. If they need additional height, I crib them up with 4 X 12 or 6 X 12 lumber
or pieces of glu-lam beam.

Where does one find these "professionally designed, engineered and tested jack stands? I really really doubt many jack stands have had more engineering and testing that a quick back of the napkin design, ESP the Chinese ones.

I think liability issues would dictate that items like this that are sold at auto parts stores, hardware stores, tool stores etc, would have to be
properly designed and tested.

I doubt very seriously that my AC/Delco, Powerbuilt, and Craftsman jacks and stands were Drawn up by a layman "on the back of a napkin".
