Phil I ordered Mr. Gasket but was told the part number had been
changed. Recieved the SCE. I don't know if that was Napa changing
supplier or what.
Had the raised ring around the ports continued around the
outer perimeter of the center ports I would have been happier.
That is not what I found. Continued around the outer perimeter would
have meant a potential for a leak between the two center ports on
engines where the castings attempt to keep the ports seperate.
Instead the gaskets were designed with special attention to keeping
the air from flowing between the two ports and as a result of the
radiused corners on the rib and the missing center divider on
our manifolds the raised rib provides no seal to the outside at
one point.
If yours are like mine then I don't think it is likely you will get a sea=
l
at
the center bottom without the silicone.
