Last Call for Windshields

ATTENTION ALL GMC’rs.
April 1st is LAST CALL….for the windshield clinic to be held at the GMCMI Spring Convention in Vidalia LA. April 21-27. We need to finalize, prepare to order, and arrange for shipping of the windshields to River View RV Park in Vidalia. APRIL 1st is that last day we will take request for windshields. This is a perfect time to get windshields. The price is going to be reasonable and installation will be by a crew that has installed hundreds of windshields on GMC MotorHomes at GMC conventions over the last 15 years. If we look at past experience, we are guessing that the price will be around $1000 per side. BUT, don’t hold us to that. It does not include price increases since the last time we did this in April of 2024.

Here are the conditions:

The price is cash only at installation, no checks or credit cards. No up front money on your part, only your commitment to come the convention for the install and pay cash for it after the install. The installers that will be doing the work will provide a receipt that you can use for insurance reimbursement. The installers will not handle dealings with insurance companies. There is a minimum number of windshield installs that the installers will need to make the trip worth their time, so get signed up by the end of the day April 1, 2026. PLEASE do not wait any longer make your order. We have to close up on the numbers so we can arrange for shipping to the Vidalia conference site. The cutoff date is April 1, 2026. After that date no orders will be accepted. I tell all of this up front so you know what the limitations and expectations are. So, get your windshield scheduled now. Hope to see you at GMCMI Convention in Vidalia.

I try to avoid following too close, ask Tin-man, I drive like an old lady. But eventually it will happen, and once again nothing beats new windowshields!

I am sorry to say that GMCMI will not be holding a Windshield clinic at the 2026 Spring Conference. The deadline was April 1, 2026. I gave it a couple of extra days for those that were late in finding out about the windshield clinic offer. A total of 8 people responded to the windshield clinic offer. We had two people with a total of 4 windshields (two right and two left) that were willing to sign-up and have windshields replaced at the Vidalia conference. Three people expressed an interest but were unable to make it to the conference. All three wanted to purchase windshields and have them drop shipped to their home or a local installer. One person had a Airstream that needed windshields. One had a warrantee issue to replace a cracked windshield. One wanted to know cost only. We talked with the installers and they felt that it was not financially worth their time to come from north central Indiana for such a low number. So sorry about this. We will be offering this Windshield Clinic again at future GMCMI conventions. Watch for it, this is a great way to get your windshield replaced and enjoy the camaraderie and friendship of GMC’rs from the rest of this great country.
