As promised, I've done some more looking into what would be involved in running
a GMC at Bonneville.
1) The GMC would run sometime during the week of Aug. 14-20.
2) Entry fee is $260 if received by June 1. After June 1 it is $360.
3) As for tire requirements, I e-mailed the SCTA's Chief Inspector more than one
week ago requesting an opinion or ruling on tires that would pass tech.
inspection. Haven't heard back.
4) In order to race, the GMC's owner and driver must join one of the 13 SCTA
member clubs listed at this web site: http://www.scta-bni.org/
The membership includes the rule book.
I have decided not to join one of the clubs because at this point I would just
be duplicating what must be done anyway by any owner/driver who wishes to enter
his coach. However, I hope this info will be helpful to anyone (Jim and the
Co-Op Dumpster? and/or others) who would like to go for it.
