Now if we can get the digesters, lurkers, and junk yard searchers to spot
the correct cars in the junk yards we can get these sensors for almost free.

I wonder if the wonderful ol Onan is quiet enough I could put one there to
listen for warning signals ??

Maybe these would be good for listening for bad bearings ??

I love these solid state devices. No power required and they last forever.

Now we could get Henry or John to program a DSP to look at the FFT of the
frequency of the damped sine wave to determine the failure mode of the
rotating mechanical components ...... Nah, I am going for a blinking light.

Glad to hear about the sensitivity control, I would think there would need
to be one, have to get over the noise of the engine and just look for
knocks. We will have to see how the loading goes.
