Peter Brandt asked: Any good or bad experiences with the K&N in the GMCs?

I have had a K&N air filter for about 5 years with no problems. I clean and
re-oil it according to directions.

Where is a good source for purchasing these K&N filters? any of the national
chains carry them?

GMC MOTORHOME INFORMATION

Hi Peter and all,

Since the talk on K&N filters has been on I have a question, When I first
got our Pumpkin-Rose I purchased a K&N air filter for a 73 toro., But when I
got it home and tried it, It was alittle shorter/taller or was it width?
then OEM filter and was unsure if filter housing top would crunch down that
much, IIRC about a 1/2" or so. So took filter back and put on list to check.
Has anyone with a K&N air filter have this problem? What # K&N filter did
you get? Thanks for any info.

Ron&Gina,

My K&N filter is also a #1650, the GMC Motorhome is even listed in their
catalog! I tried the filter in my spare 73 Toronado air filter housing,
seems to fit just fine.
