77 stock ignition 455 transmode. Installed Jacobs and no juice, reversed
installation and it fired up. Called Jacobs a couple of times and finally
told to strip back the wires and clip a resistor. New engine mounts so the
HT wire to the distributor hit the engine cover. Routed out cover to clear
and clipped top off wire connection. Recomended gap setting at .055" with
new solid core plugs. Starts easier and idles smooth. Can not really
compare performance until loaded up for our trip. Heading for Phoenix this
weekend after GMC rally here so will get a test of performance over the 7%
4000 ft passes out of San Diego and the 700 mile round trip.
