I just bought two (2) new brackets at the DixieLanders Rally in Bean
Station. I cannot use them and plan to offer them for sale. If you are
interested, I will sell them for my cost and I will pay shipping costs.
These are the brackets that are made my L.R. Harrison and I paid him $80 for
both (2). They are plated and look very nice.

My GMC has the fiberglass 'flare' that goes around the wheels and down
between the wheels. I cannot use the brackets unless I first remove these
parts and that's just too much trouble. I should have tried the braclets
brfore I bought them.

Let me know.

Can someone tell me where I can get the bracket that slips under the rear to
use a bottle jack to lift the rear wheels?

David

The fiberglass flare between the wheels on my coach comes down to 8-1/2" off
of the ground. When I hook the bracket in place, it hits the fiberglass way
before it levels up to the point where I can use the bottle jack.

"Do those brackets work with the standard skirts?" Well, I just do not know
if the skirts on my 1974 Eleganza SE are what you would call standard. I
looked on the net for some photos to compare with mine but could not locate
any. All I know is that they will not work on my coach.

The brackets are very well made and plated with a gold finish - nice. I
understand that Leigh Harrison usually gets about $45 each for these
brackets. If anyone needs them, they are available for $40 each ($80 for the
set) and I pay shipping.

Regards,

tw

I do not have a clue. I bought the GMC from Buddy Bethune in August. They
were already on the coach.

Let me clarify my earlier post about jacking the ends of the bogey arms:
That is ONLY done AFTER jacking the center pivot attachment to the frame to
get the coach weight off the wheels. Once the center bogey pivot is
elevated -- and securely blocked -- I will take the bottle jack I mentioned
and THEN raise the wheel off the ground. This keeps the bogey arms from
bottoming on the pivot forging (not that it would make any serious
difference). I feel a little safer doing this as I find that I don't have to
raise the entire coach as far off the ground to get a wheel off.
