The diameter of the housing is 3" and this is what we sell for RV
applications. You may need to remove the threaded and hose barb section
to facilitate easier installation

Product Info Req.:

Do You make a conversion for the 18590 Macerator to utilize 3-inch inlet
rather than the 1 1/2-inch? I am installing the macerator in my
motorhome and the 3-inch inlet would improve its capabilites in regards
to emptying the holding tank.

Thank You!!

correct number for the Jabsco pump is 18590-000. You need the last three
zeros or the girl gets confused. It is $119 plus $7.50 shipping.

If you go to:
http://store.westmarine.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&DID 15&Product_ID 6742=
0&CATID
4968, you can see the details on the pump.

The last three zero's tell you that it is manufacturer's number for the =
12 V
model, vs. 24 and 32 V units.

For those who have installed a macerator pump, where did you pick up =
power
to operate it and where did you mount the switch?? I assume a switch =
does
not come with the pump and must be obtained elsewhere??? I plan to use =
a
waterproof one from Painless Wiring (see
http://www.painlesswiring.com/switches.htm).

I picked up power from inside the hanging locker (on a GMC interior)
Remove the back wall (very easy) and you will find wiring there. My
switch is mouted right next too and slightly above the city water inlet.
This keeps it out of the way of the hose and enables it to be locked up
so some passerby doesn't flick on the switch.

I used a weather proof switch with, I think, a 20 amp rating and added an
in-line fuse.

I called the 1-800-BOATING (262-8464) this afternoon to order the
18590-000 pump . I was told that it listed for $199 and the current
price is $149 . Did I call the wrong place ? The person I spoke to was
in CA (West Marine)
Would not honor the $119 (Sale until April 4)without checking with
supervisor. I was on the road and couldn't wait for reply. Anyone else
have same problem? I hope to try again before the Sale (?) deadline TIA

Could it be that there is a difference between in store sale prices and
catalog prices. I have run into this problem with West Marine. Duane
probably walked to the closest outlet.

I ordered one from this number on Tuesday and they gave me the $119 price.
Their web site has it for $149, but when I called they priced it at $119.

I too, ordered one using their web site and got a $149 price. Called the
800 number listed on the order confirmation sheet and talked to them. They
honored the $119 price. Apparently that's in a sales flyer.

was $119.95 plus shipping.

Thanks to all for input . I was finally able to place order at the $119
