It started out as a 1974 GMC Motorhome...

Actually we supplied a 1976 frame, engine and a 3.70 with Limited slip and
Manny trans. Rear stabalizer bars and Quadrabag unit.
Randy put in a rebuilt engine.
I have made arrangment for him to be at our Western States Rally in October
to present us the details of how he got started and have sold his art work
to people like Jay Leno, Actions, and many more.
He and his wife are truly very nice people.

To be honest, Steve,

..... I like the lower part, that is a great build, but topping it with a T1 VW .... is a no go for me.
If I would order a build like this, I would be totally happy with only the base. And than outfitting it as a MH, GMC Style ...
just my 2 cents ...

Daniel

Things that make you go Hmmmmmmmmm, a German vehicle on top of a British truck and American motorhome?

Just kidding! Randy is one talented bugger, that's for sure, he builds rolling works of art AND "over the top."

Remember, it is a global economy, today. No isolationist policies allowed
here.(grin) Randy hails from Grant's Pass, Oregon. One talented metalsmith,
for sure. Just look at that man lift, and body ribs with built in hand
holds. Works of art, functional ones too.

Hi Daniel !!

I agree with you. If it was for me - I'd prefer it without the bus on top.

But for touring the Napa Wine Country - that upper deck provides some great viewing positions...
