Glue is ok, but I used self tapping screws to secure them to the aluminum cross supports. JWID

I did mine quite a few years back but I didn’t use any lubricant. I found that Liquid Nails applied to both sides acted as a lubricant. I felt that if i put in a lubricant it would stay there and possibly allow movement of the pad in the future. I used a small block of wood and a hammer to tap them into place. They slid in quite easily. Then I used a single self tapping metal roofing screw to fasten it to the flat aluminum floor member at each location

I did not use glue. Just the screws. Over 10 yrs now and non of them have moved. To do the job, I put the coach up on a set of ramps like these:

and made a short set for the front wheels.
Then using a bottle jack and a 6" piece of 2X4, gently lifted the body next to the set where the pad belonged. Just enough to slide the new pad in.
Then used two self tapping hex screws to secure them to the aluminum cross members. JWID

Yikes, forgot. Have the heater hose running from engine back to water heater. Will have to drop the brackets for the hose to clear a post for the post
to lift. Should the hoses stay or go?
