Hi everyone. My name is Cindy. After 35 years in health care rehabilitation I’m hoping to retire in a few years. In my spare time I sing with a 50’s-60’s cover group. We do a lot of car shows and community events so I have a lot of restoration resources. I’m a big fan of classic vehicles and my family and I have a few oldies but goodies of our own. My goal is to spend part of my retirement traveling to perform and part of it snowbirding. I would love to do that in my very own GMC MotorHome. I’m here to learn so thanks for adding me to the group.

Best way to learn about them quickly is to attend a GMC MI convention (held twice per year). I did 5 1/2 years ago - have been hooked ever since - bought my 1st one that week - also found the love of my life there.
Such a fantastic group of helpful people!!!

Cindy a couple of thoughts.

First, you're listed as 'Jerryw'. Why? :
)
Second, where are you? If we know we may well be able to point you to a mentor close by.

Third, are you personally reasonably handy with tools? All the resto - friends in the world aren't worth a lot beside the road about dark when the
carburetor filter packs it in.

GMCs (and it looks like the very new stuff without any quality control) want a certain amount of maintenance and upgrading which is labor intensive,
thus costly if you can't do it yourself.

Go to a rally or two - particularly a GMCMI one and pick brains, steal ideas, and generally schmooze with owners who have probably done whatever
already and can give you pointers.

Glad you found us here,

Welcome to the group. I hope you find what you are looking for.

To beat Matt C to it, please go to the Control Panel and fill out a proper log-in , then go t Preferences and fill in whatever you feel is
appropriate, and create a sig-file.

This will help us to get to know who you are and makes it easier for us to help in any way we can.

Oh, and have a Merry Christmas!

She has the same problem as Emery and Jerry W plus a couple of others. have they all show up as Jerry W. The has been going on for months. I gave
them the solution months ago. They are all emailers and got assigned to the same id on the forum side. The solution is to delete there ids, or at
least the JerryW id, on the forum side and let it automatically reassign them new ones on their next postings.

Get to Eugene, the owner and administrator of the GMC forum, and have him DELETE the userid Jerryw completely. I believe there are multiple entries
for that id in the database with at least three different email addresses attached to it. He needs to delete them all.

I am not sure if there is a similar id listing in the email server but it needs at least to be checked and possibly cleaned too. Then the next time
you make an email posting the system should think you are a new user and should create a clean and unique new id for you.

I believe the problem is on the forum side but I am not sure how the email works reports new users to the forum. It possibly could be a corruption
problem on the email side.

You personally can not fix this. The admins of both systems need to look at it and fix this. I would start by deleting all of your ids from the
forum and let then recreate.
