Interesting GMC with a Tailgate

Having some trouble figuring why he would blacken out the license plate.
Can anyone jut arrive at a Motor Vehicles office and after presenting a
plate number get the owners address, name and a spare set of keys?

It's called paranoia. But remember this, just because you are paranoid,
it doesn't mean that the WHOLE WORLD isn't out to get you. ( grin)

Even after blocking out the license plate, with a bit of careful sleuthing
I was able to uncover the owners 9946 street address.

Paranoia reigns!

Interestingly, in the three years I've been part of gmcnet.org I have not
received a single spam email or phone call that I can attribute to the list.

Hugs,
Vern

Do not touch anything. What ever was wrong with passing and parsing email addresses now seems to be fixed. I just looked at a whole bunch of emailer
postings and they all came through with the correct email address.

DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING. IT IS WORKING right now.

All I can do is look at this nifty stuff and think of two things (as I was an old truck owner for a long time).
How much payload will that thing cost me? And
What will it still do when it is 20+ years old? (This was the typical age of my trucks.

I had similar thoughts, Matt.

I have a 2006 Chevy 2500HD work truck that I occasionally drive and a few weeks ago, I broke the PLASTIC tailgate handle. It was a cold morning, so
the mechanism might have been frozen, or the 8' step ladder OI had in the back might have jammed it, but I evidently used a little too much force.

After looking at that pic and the subsequent TV adds, I got to thinking (as I was replacing the handle and lubing everything up) how much more there
is to break/go wrong with that fancy tailgate.

Still a cool idea though.

AS is the tailgate on the motorhome. It would make access to the back area easier, but he must have a really high bed platform in order to
accommodate that standing up spare tire.
