got a stock manifold and cleaned it up:
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/atomic-tbi-fuel-injection/p64838-stock-intake-partially-clean.html

had it hotdipped and magnafluxed: Standard crack from what I can tell:
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/atomic-tbi-fuel-injection/p64839-magnaflux.html

Milled down to crack in floor of intake:
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/atomic-tbi-fuel-injection/p64840-milling-down-to-crack-on-floor-of-intake.html

drilled and pinned crack ends:
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/atomic-tbi-fuel-injection/p64841-pin.html

Finished crack repair on floor of intake:
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/atomic-tbi-fuel-injection/p64842-finished-smooth-floor.html

Intake throat finished:
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/atomic-tbi-fuel-injection/p64843-intake-throat-finished.html

Repaired Intake ready to install. Will use block off plates on the exhaust crossover:
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/atomic-tbi-fuel-injection/p64844-repaired-intake-manifold.html

Have another aluminum filled intake coming, for I would be more comfortable with the intake filled AND block off plates, but now have something to
keep it running with. I'm really looking forward to milling down the Edlebrock Torker and hoping I can get the MSD Atomic and stock air cleaner under
the stock engine cover.

Thanks Everyone!

Jack,

This photo might be of interest to you:

http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/aa-miscellaneous-photos/p63426-intake-manifold-internal-temp.html

The reading was taken with the engine at normal operating temperature. It was sent to me by Dick Patterson when we were discussing
the need to fill cracks in the intake manifold after blocking off the manifold crossover ports in the heads. As you can see it is
173 degrees which Dick felt was the temperature of the oil vapor in the lifter valley under the crossover. Since the temperature is
around 1000 degrees lower we speculated that any cracks at the bottom of the manifold plenum probably didn't open up enough to cause
any problems. If one wanted to plug the cracks they could be filled with high temp (red) RTV.

Rob M.
