Insurance agent is clueless?TAX ???

JR
C'mon to Texas. We have no income tax, no personal property tax and
automatically adopt people with J R as initials. Sales tax about 6% out in
the wide open spaces and Real Estate taxes for local schools and government.
Don't let the secret out. Just check it out.

Yes,

Actually, it is a county tax. We must list all real possessions, like
riding
lawn mowers, tractors, all vehicles (whether lisenced or not), dogs, cats,
livestock, etc. I think every county in this state does the same. Of
course, land, lots, houses, etc, are subject to the same county tax. And
yes, we have to pay a sales tax when we purchase the item too (3% on
vehicles, 6% general sales tax).

JR Wheeler 78 Royale NC
will be looking for a better place to live starting this summer when we
start
our nationwide trip for 4-5 months (meaning taxes and crowding density).

JR,
Never been to Oregon. I hope my namesake was a credit to the name.

Bob,
Don't say that too loud. Your politicians will realize what they are
missing. :-)
