- - Hello all; Does anyone have a copy of the instructions for the use of
Tom's bearing puller? Right now, I have 2 rather blurry pages that ends
with pulling the bearing off the hub. Is there more to the instructions
than this? Does anyone know if the instructions were part of a service
bulletin that is available from another source such as Cinnibar? I would
appreciate any help in tracking this info down. Thanks, walter bright, 76
GB.

Hi John,

You can get a back copy of the June 1996 article and newsletter, by
sending $2.50 to Cinnabar Engineering 115 Orval Street, Sandusky Michigan
48471. The publication is GMC Motorhome News, and it is issue number 8.

Walter...

You are missing about 2 pages...

While looking at the article, in GMCMHN for Walter, I noticed the picture
of the Winterfeldt Puller on Page 8. Here are a few question for Tom and
or others...

The Warner Puller, looks to me to have more meat in the radius of the
curve transitioning between the C-Ring and the flange that does the
actual pulling. I am waiting for the results of the first pull off!

Are there any tips on how to take care of this Warner Tool? I'm not sure
whether to oil them and put the parts in some Crown Royal blue-bags I
have been saving for this sort of thing or what...

I'm no expert on machining, but that curved surface referenced above on
the Warner Tool looks very well done. I'm guessing that the material
used has a great deal to do with the ultimate strength, but possibly the
trade off is... degree of difficulty in the machining process vs
strength. I'd be interested in some more knowledgable opinions.
