Installed my DigiPanel yesterday and today. Debated on location of
unit, thought about below dash-pad, above heater controls- decided I
didn't like cable showing and didn't want to drill a big hole. Only
other good location seemed like the Bounds method, between the heater
controls and the radio. Took me 10 hours to install the unit head
and a couple hours more to do the hook-ups. Looks very nice and after
a 15 minute static test appears to work perfectly. Used the Dremel
for most of the dash cuts, cut out one piece of galvanized steel,
maybe about 7 inches by 3/4 inch plus cut out a slightly larger piece
of the formica-rubber-plastic stuff. The only hard part is mounting
the head, the wire hook-up is simple, you can do about all of it
from inside the coach, no crawling underneath unless you ordered options. Anyone with questions feel free to contact me, either on or off list. - - - It looks like a very worthwhile upgrade.
