I was going to install my Caspro Electronic Knock Eliminator (EKE) and
pulled my distributor cap off to splice my wires. I noticed a small label
loose (wedged into a corner) looks like it came off the ignition module
(which is black not white). It says "Warranty Void If Module Is Removed" and
has a PN (on this label) of 90-0182-30.
Does it sound like the right module? Jim Bounds mentioned he had a hard time
trying to time it correctly. He said it would ping badly and had to retard
it more than what it should have been. Probably accounts for the 7.5 MPG he
got going to Forrest City. Any thoughts...
What's the correct module # (GMCMI Parts book says Delco 875990) and does it
need to be timed once it's been replaced? Thanks...
