I have noticed in the past where hubs and knuckles have been refurbished
by (Ken Thoma ?). Does anyone have a contact address/E-mail address, or
ph. # that I may contact him?
What prices am I looking at for each repair?, and are the people that
had work done satisfied?

Katie you and gil bought a bearing puller from me and with the cinnabar June
1996 article on bearing replacement you should be able to do the replacement
of the bearings easily. I would recommend you pack the bearings with a
synthetic grease such as mobil 1.

With respect to the hubs and knuckles if you do not have the capability to
measure the hubs and knuckles to see if they are within tolerances (they are
given in the article) than find a friend on the net close to you that can or
worse case either pay someone to come there and do it or take them off and
take them into a good machine shop with the cinnabar article and have them
mike the parts.

There are several places that offer rebuilt hubs and knuckles;

Alex Sirum 941-763-11221

Cinnabar 1-800-720-2227 They sell brand new knuckles for $240 with no exchange.

Golby 1-800-872-1462

Buskirk 1-800-715-1133

I got the new knuckles from Cinnabar simply because I had not seen any of
the rebuilt ones and did not know how good the quality was.

I would take them off and have a machine shop check the dimensionsAt 06:01

I have the parts out and pulled apart. In fact I have the entire front
end out as I am going to do the ball-joints, bushings, check out the
driveshafts, grease and re-boot as required. We have good machine shops
here but all I really want to know were prices to refurbish. I want to
know what prices I should be expecting. I can and will do all the rest
myself.
Regards, Gil

Gil do you have the part numbers for the bushings and other parts you will
need to rebuild the front end? do you have the procedure for replacing the
upper and lower ball joints to ensure they do not come loose?
