In an earlier thread (Going Cross Country), I aluded to the fact that my fresh water system had sprung a leak. It turns out, thankfully, that it is the pump that is leaking, NOT the tank. I don't quite have the old pump out yet, but I'm just wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a replacement?

Thanks

Hard to keep up on the different models. From what I remember the more money spent, you can get quieter pumps. My loud pump is ok with me. I like to hear/know it is running.

So, the old pump is a Shurflo 2088-403-4444, probably about 20+ years old and most likely discontinued. Amazom has a 2088-554-144, which has better specs, for $95.00. There are several similar looking, but different brand pumps for 56 dollars and change. I'm thinking the $38.00 difference might be worth it for the brand name pump.

What think you???

I linked you to a Shurflo above, for $71.

I have an accumulator, not sure its worth it. It just makes the pump rum longer
I like that you can run a little water without the pump coming on. Just enough for a quick rinse/flush or two. I originally got it to keep my pump from chattering at low flow rates, but my new pump (ShurFlo 4008-101-A65) compensates for that without needing an accumulator.

Then again, a rum dispenser would be on brand for me!
I saw a beautiful Palm Beach that had one of those little goose neck faucets like those used for dispensing filtered water, but it had 4 push buttons next to it on the countertop marked W, B, V, & G. Looked in the cabinet below and there were bottles of whiskey, bourbon, vodka & gin hooked up to the dispensing faucet. Very, very slick!
