I worked for a company that had a small electronics build shop.

The electronics and instrumentation group was manged by a very nice and capable fellow, but he was totally (I mean TOTALLY) color blind.
He was at a bench one day trying to get a new circuit board to behave. He needed to change a resistor value.
No problem, they were in a genuine Ohmite cabinet with all the little bins in lots of drawers. Each drawer was about a decade.
He looked carefully and pulled one draw open, lifted a piece out and when he tried to push the drawer back . . .
Something went wrong and that drawer flipped out of the cabinet and spilled.
As he tried to catch it, he snagged at least one other.

He sat there for a moment and did a face palm.

I'm not sure why I was even there, but I suggested that he just go get a cup of coffee.

Those of us that could see the color code had it cleared up pretty fast.
