Morning,

I'm having an issue with my house systems and not sure/haven't found the issue.
my 12v systems work when connected to shore or on generator but I don't get any power from my house batteries.
The fuse panel looks good and I tested with a volt meter and can confirm I have power to it with shore/generator.
I looked at the 40 amp fuse and it appears to be working but to be safe I replaced it and no luck.

The wires are a mess and I'm still trying to follow them to figure out what I have.
Looking for advice on what to look at and if the 12v connection from the battery to the fuse panel should be running along the wall or under the floor through the generator compartment.

My Avion has the black and white wires from the rear batteries going into the wall so I assume they travel in the wall above the generator compartment.

Here is a basic wiring diagram for the 12VDC distribution. First thing you need to find is the 12Vdc from the house battery on your DC distribution fuse panel. The battery should have a cable from it to the 50 amp breaker then from it to the house DC fuse panel.

I think most of the posters here do not realize that your Avion is not wired the same as a GMC upfitted coaches. I have never worked on an Avion but I will go look at the link you posted for the Avion. From the piece you posted it looks like you are on track but without seeing the rest of the schematic I do not have enough info to put together a guess right now.

The schematic shows 3 house batteries. 2 in the rear and one up front. They also show several pairs of 20 amp fuses and one 40 amp for the rear. Do you have all three of these batteries and have you checked all of those fuses?

If you still have the original converter it could be the switch inside it that connects the blue and red wires together when shore power isn't present.

thanks for the advice.

will take a look at the wires again, one of the POs made some mods so making it a bit of a challenge to follow the schematics from the maker. :p just hoping they didn't remove the 12v line and have everything route through the generator.

Do you have the original converter?

Back to my question. Are there really three house batteries and one engine battery? 2 in front and 2 in the rear? I am trying to follow the wiring diagram on a coach type I have never seen before.

That is the way mine is.... but you can leave the front leisure battery out.

ok, . Keeping in mind that I have never worked on an Avion electrical problem, and that I am only looking at the schematic, The next question is are all 3 batteries installed and what does the voltage read across each of them?
