Yes - Arch you are correct. I guess I didn't put my mind into gear
before I engaged my typing fingers.

You get double the energy that you would get from one battery but
since you are now pulling that energy out at 12 volts instead of at 6
volts you get, as you say, the same amp hours at the higher voltage
which is exactly double the power of one 6 volt battery.

I made my own slide out several years ago with stainless glides rated for
100 lbs because the golf car batteries are higher. In fact I once
considered stowing the batteries in a front bumper box but they are so
tall I would have reduced front ground clearance substantially.

It works well and I am able to check water levels much more easily than
when I had my 4D battery in there.
