Hot water tanks

Could anyone tell me a hot water tank that I could use with or without a
heat exchanger. My coach was gutted and I have nothing to go by. In a boat
magazine I can get one that is 11 gallons and is a heat exchanger and
electric for 279.00 or 18 gallon for 449.00 which I think is to big any feed
back would be nice .

My suggestion to you both is that you need to purchase a set of manuals
for the GMC. They can answer most of your questions. Cinnabar is the
only one that sells them, they can be reached at 1-800-720-2227. This
list can also be of great help.

Bryan:

The Atwood (815-877-5700) water heater model you want in a 6 gal size is
either GH6-8E for the gas only, heat exchanger, electronic ignition model or
GCH6A-8E for one with a combination gas/AC electric. The corresponding
numbers for a 10 gal model are GH10-3E and GCH10A-3E.

It's goofy, but be aware that the model numbers are the same and apply for
either a water heater version having electronic ignition only as well as one
having a heat exchanger in addition. You have to specify which one you
want.

After reading about you lucky GMC owners guys out there that
have 3-way water heaters. My coach has only the heat exchanger
and 110 VAC for water heating.

I wonder if it's feasible to install a 3-way water heater in my '76
Palm Beach? Has anyone out there done that?

I've always considered the lack of propane as a source of hot water
heat a problem. We mostly camp where there are no hook ups.
Therefore in order to take a shower in the morning we have to run
the genset or go for a drive. That's kind of a pain! It sure seems to
me inefficient to heat with 110 VAC in a motorhome. I like the heat
exchanger feature. I would just to be able to heat with gas when camping.
