I have a 78 Eleganza II also, the hoses were replace about four years
ago. Like any other rubber things these hoses should be checked
periodically for hardening. They do not get much vibration or movement
and therefor will not crack like a fan belt or a radiator hose, but they
do become hard like a rock. Reference the earlier post same subject.
The hoses run from a "T" located on the right hand or passenger side of
the motor to the bottom of the frame / along that frame as described.
If I can remember correctly I allowed the full 26 feet for each one due
to bends etc. I personally would not be without this system. I like to
have a good hot shower when the end of the day comes. I can do without
hot water in the morning if I have to. Accept coffee. Which can either
be propane or microwave. But the shower is really nice. Yes you can
heat water with your genset in about 10 minutes or less if it is not
too early in the morning or restricted by the park you are camping in.
