Hot water heater.
Someone please clarify!
A new found GMC owner has a '73 model that a previous owner changed
out the water heater for a Direct-spark (Instant-on) water heater. I
would like to do this as well. I viewed a '76 coach that had a propane
hot water heater.
I have noticed many GMC units that do have a "door" for the water
heater. (These are on the 26 ft. side bath.)
An earlier post stated that the "gas"model would not fit behind the
bathroom cabinet, because it was too big.
What is the consensus? As well, which heater "does: fit? Is there a
known template for cutting thru the side wall on such an install?

I removed the furnace and replaced it with a catalytic. I the installed
a propane / electric hot water heater under the kitchen sink. Works
well for us and with our 3-way refrigerator we can dry camp for days
without a battery recharge.
That's what we did.
