The following was in reply to my queries regarding a new hot water
heater.
I purchased a direct replacement (Atwood) water heater from Cinnabar.
Wes Caughlan of Cinnabar recommended this type, but also advised that a
Propane/Electric water heater can be installed on the drivers side under
the couch. This method would seriously decrease the available storage
space, so I elected to stick with the original equiptment.

Rich,
Water heaters have always been available at our Parts and Publications
Distribution Center in Sandusky, Michigan. Telephone 1-800-720-2227. The
pre-heat feature is original equipment but may have been removed by a
previous owner. It uses engine coolant to heat the water as you travel.
By the way, the best way to install a new water heater is to take the
wall off the back of the bathroom in the bedroom. It comes down quite
easily after removing the upper and lower cabinets.
