Larry:

If you have the parts manual, look in the fore part of it for all the coach
specifications.

What is the stock horsepower for the 455? Sorry for this dumb question, but
can't find it in any of my pile of printed literature, books, downloads,
etc.

Got Jacobs stuff today. Might try to get it in this weekend.

I went ahead and ordered the Jacobs Ignition kit as well for my 403. I'll
be interested in any issues that might pop up.

How right you are!!

The 455 is rated at 212HP with344 ft lbs Torque
The 403 is rated at 200HP with 330 ft lbs Torque

Some other interesting tidbits; Turning circle for the 26' coach - 56.4 feet

Thom which year are you talking about? Believe you are also comparing
apples to oranges. To get a true picture you need to compare Hp @ RPM and
torque @ RPM. Than the picture drastically changes. 1976 455 had 230HP
@3600 RPM and 370 Ft# of torque @ 2400 RPM. Its the RPM @ low RPM that is
important to the motorhome.

I guess I wasn't clear. I was quoting from page 7 of the 78Z parts book
thzat Paul Bartz had mentioned.
