Honda seats

If you do a "Honda seats" search in the GMC Photo site, there are several albums outlining the installation procedure. Simple and straight forward. I
did the Honda seat install back in 2005. Never looked back. An easy install, comfy seats, and lasted until this year when I had to have one "pleather"
panel on the drivers seat replaced. Happened in a spot where the driver slid over that spot every time you entered or exited the seat. So that is
some 15 yrs and 80K miles before I had to do anything but a yearly scrubbing down.

In 2009, I put leather 2009 Odyssey middle row seats in mine. Shortly after, took a trip from Michigan to California and back. Drove 10-12 hours a
day and found them to be very comfortable. They are still comfortable and still look good.

When we acquired our present coach in 2011, a Buskirk Stretch chassis #5
built in 1997. It came with the Flexsteel leather seats for RV use. They
look nice, but were not that comfortable over long distances. The Honda
seat was the hot tip for a seat replacement in 2011 and many GMC'ers
installed them, including us. The middle row seats with arm rest were the
model of choice and at that time were available from a handicap van maker
who took them out when up-fitting the vans. The 2 colors available when
the cream and tan colors and they were under $200 for the pair + shipping.
Arrived in a big box, mounted on the 6-way electric seat base and the rest
is history. We have done thousands of miles each year since and they have
been very comfortable for 6-8 hrs a day driving. If you have the stock
bases you can use the seat mounts off the factory with slight
modifications. I have a set of modified brackets and home, but sadly no
pictures. The Toyota Sienna seats have also been used.

I installed the Honda seats in 2009 and I couldn't be happier. Except for the fact that that it seems that 2009 was only a few years ago and not 11.
Time is flying by way to fast!

My coach's PO installed similar seats out of a Chrysler mini van. I have had the coach for almost 12 years now and have driven it over 45,000 miles
sitting in one of those seats. It has been very comfortable and is just now showing some signs of wear on the seat panel that I slide over to get in
and out of the seat (like Larry's)

I don't see a downside to them.

I junked all the Honda track parts and used unistrut to
mate to GMC bases. This added a bit of height so may not be comfortable if you have shorter legs. Fairly comfortable but on very long days I add a
small pillow down low for added lumbar in the right place. Eventually I want to repad and recover the factory seats to restore the look .
