Arch - Just looked at your site again. Good looking job on the
cabinets. I saw how you had the bathroom door parallel to the
cabinets opposite. After I got mine aligned well, I found that the
bathroom door would no longer stay open against the opposite cabinet
as shown in your photo since it didn't rub anymore. My solution was
to hold the door open to where I wanted it against the stop and then
marked where the latch tongue was. I put a small pan head sheet
metal screw into the cabinet edge just behind the latch tongue. Now
we can open the door and pull the latch back and let it catch on the
screw. The screw doesn't stick out enough to be a problem.

This is helpful if we want to pull into a rest area (or a Walmart)
and go to sleep in the back. We don't have to pull the curtains in
the front and don't worry about the door swinging back to eliminate
our bedroom privacy.

A simple thing but very useful.

Arch,

What you have accomplished in such a short period of time is amazing and
inspiring. Thanks for using some of your very limited time to document
the process with pictures.

Arch - hope you find it. Thats what keeps the door from swinging
into the kitchen. The screw I put in keeps it from swinging back
into the hallway area.

Let me know day and time. If I can navigate the 40 miles I'll stop by to
say hello
