I checked the Holley and found it to be a 4165 List 0-6497 which is the
direct street replacement for the 455 (non Tornado) Mechanical
secondaries, spread bore, double pump, 650 cfm, emmisions carb, integral
choke. I have the Holley book so I can identify anyones carb if they so
desire.

Is the carb with it's 650 cfm okay for the coach? What cfm was the
original?

You either need a spreadbore carb or an adaptor plate(readily available from
any performance parts house - i.e. Jegs or Summit).

The book shows that it a 4160 carb and is is for '70-72 307,350,402 engines, has
vacuum secondaries, auto choke, 600 cfm and is an emmisions carb. It does not
say that it is a spread bore. Is this necessary to use on our engines? The book
has all of the rebuild and jet parts numbers if you need them.

Let me know if you need more info.

the original q-jet was 350 or 450 cfm. I think. Darren

So I probably don't need a 750 cfm. For a while I was sufferning from
carburator envy. I just want this baby to get me to Colorado this summer.
Next winter I can install the port injection and blower... This is after I win
the lottery. Throttle body injection, on the other hand might be pretty cool.
