Don't forget to include depreciation cost in your calculations. Some of those
babies drop 20-30% in the first year. On a $150,000 coach, that is roughly
equal to our hypothetical $35,000 investments. I figure that my coach will be
worth in the $14-16 range when Phase I, Coach I is finished. Heck, the sticker
on mine was about that when it was new. After 27 years (mine is a 73), what do
you think the SOB's will be worth compared to their purchase price?
Another factor is the customization that allows me to make it MY coach. Even if
I chose to do an all original restoration, it is my choice. It wouldn't be half
as fun if all our coaches were identical like Hondas comming off the boat.
