Bought a beauty named the Portwagon in the Seattle area last November. An upgraded 75 Eleganza II in immaculate condition. Drove her all the way back to PA without a hiccup other than a badly leaking power steering line. Oh well, the underside will never rust ?
The timing of it all was bad. As soon as I got her home, I had her state inspected, all fluids and filters changed, and put straight into a barn for the winter. April came and with it the Portwagon in my driveway. And I’ve been puttering with the cosmetic stuff ever since. I’ve had her out and about but COVID kind of put the kibosh on real travel until very recently.
This weekend, I attended a car show as a participant with four other owners I just met and their Motorhomes. I can’t believe how much I enjoyed that! Can’t wait for the rally next month to meet more owners and see what they’ve done with their beauties! Makes me want a 23 footer so I have one of each!
Honestly, never in a million years would I have believed that I would not only gain a full blown hobby, but I’d become an enthusiast who can’t stop talking about GMC Motorhomes. My friends hate me. My family barely tolerates me. But they all dig my Motorhome.
Thanks to all of you for putting these forums and Resources online and many thanks to you with knowledge who participate and offer help. Those of us new to the family appreciate it more than you know.
