Hello y’all my name is Tricia and I’m addicted to these Motorhomes! I don’t own one... yet, but hope to soon! I’d really like to convert one into a mobile office but my daughter just wants to camp, lol.
I guess that’s the scary part! I can see how easy it is to get lost in the possibility of what they can become. Right now I’m just trying to weigh some options.Hi Tricia! They're amazing machines and the owner community is second to none. They can provide many great memories for those who have the resources and skills to treat them right. Just know up front that they are a high maintenance affair rather than a gas-and-go appliance. What's your story?
Hey thanks Matt! I’m a chiropractor and I’ve been wanting to take my practice mobile so I’ve been looking at vehicles to be able to do that in. These seem to have the size I need for my table and aren’t too enormous to get around in. Plus, much cooler looking than anything else! Not sure how the gas mileage will affect my overhead though....Tricia,
There is no reason you can't do both. And you might not have to change much of anything.
We got our coach and made one (1, uno, ein) 2500 mile excursion. Then it sat until I figured it would serve well in my boat work. Owners were just not interested in bringing a 5 ton~ 30foot sailboat to my location 18 miles inlane. I had been working out of a small car. She became my office, meeting room, electronic instrument service shop, tool crib, restaurant and occasional motel. We only used her for travel when I could hide it as boat work to keep it all deductible.
I don't know what your business is, but you can get a small inverter to keep the laptop and other things going on the house battery. Do not count on running any laser printer on it, but there are some nice inkjet copier/printers out there. If you are in a good cell location, that is great, but I had to install a repeater to get any coverage in most of the boat yards.
If I can help with ideas, I'm here a lot.
Matt
I’ve seen that! I actually first saw her Motorhome while watching a YouTube video for mobile Chiro ideas. It’s a sweet ride!Well... take a look at this !!

Thanks Matt! I am in the Phoenix area. There’s one not far from us for sale in Chandler but waiting for it to be seen. It’s very nice... almost too nice. I think I might rather find something that needs some work and do my own thing with.Trish,
I am going to have to revise what I wrote before.
I just got off the phone with a lady chiropractor friend. She has seen my coach which is a 23 and was pretty sure that it could not work (I had to agree), but that is the smaller version. If you locate a 26 that has not been too reconfigured, it may be possible to remove the dinette that is on the right (right next to the door). Then you would have between the passenger seat and the vacuum cabinet and that is six feet. If you need more, slide the table forward to the patient's head is over the upper deck (we call it the bridge, but from the avatar you can guess why). If the coach has the sofa on the left. those open out to the extra bed for camping unless you want to share the double in the way back.
To answer most of your questions, you need to meet other owners and really see what can be done. If you run into any GMC owner that does not want to talk about the coach, medical attention may be required......
I don't know where you are, so I can't suggest how to get in contact with owners. But if you know where there is one, ask.
Matt
Tricia,
In Phoenix you are in GMC Saguaro Jetsetters area. I was going to set you up with a link, but that isn't working this morning. Their basic URL is www.gmcsj.com, but it isn't working right now. Someone there should be able to guide you.
Best of Luck
Matt
