Just got my 16in Alcoa rims, went to the tire store and bought 7
Michelins. When I lined them up next to the GMC they sure looked big.
The tire place sold me 225/85/R16 tires. What is the best tire size I
need in load range E if I stay with Michelins
Hermann

Herm:

You want the 225/75 series, which should be about a tenth of an inch
larger in diameter than the original 8.75R-16.5 coach tires.

Incidentally, I hate to see wheels referred to as "rims". Rims, the
part that holds the tire bead in place, are part of the wheel. Just my
pet peeve/idiosyncrasy.

And you wonder why we have problems communicating with each other?????

Incidentally John, noted the date stamp on your e-mail. Here it is
approximately 12.40 EDT. Perhaps you want to reset your clock. Let me
know privately if you need help doing so.

Hi Paul...

I'll bet you also hate to hear tires referred to as wheels, as some
people do, even NTW now NTB on their national TV Ad..."Sooner or later
you're gonna' need new wheels!"
