YIKES !!!!!
I wonder if Heinz has any answerers.... He changed from the tsm over to the
Lehigh system.... I think he did the whole change including the MS. I
will send this to him just incase he is not reading the digests.

>When I did the 6 wheel disk brake system last summer using the TSM kits, I
had a hard time getting the red brake light from coming on and the pedal
slowly sinking to the floor. I tried two NAPA new master cylinders at
about $70 each (part number as posted on this site) and it was no better.
Finally I ordered one from Cinnabar - over $200 plus $40 freight. It
seemed to work properly right away so I know that I didn't have any air in
the lines.

>Just had Jim Bounds do a six wheel alignment and when I went back to pick
up the GMC he asked me if I've been having trouble with the brakes since
the brake light was coming on when he moved the motorhome. I have not had
any problems with it since this master cylinder was put on. Jim had a
brake mechanic look at it and they put on a new Bendix master cylnder and
then spent hours trying to make sure that it was bled properly. It has now
been determined that the brakes are bled but the master cylnder is
bottoming out. The front brakes work but the rear brakes are not getting
enough fluid. Apparently the pistons on the four rear calipers are larger
than the original wheel cylinders and the stock master cylinder is just at
the borderline on its volume. It may be that there was a slight difference
between the Cinnabar unit and the NAPA ones. I am told that the Cinnabar
unit was pushing the piston down so far into the cylinder that it was
scuffing the seal and that is why it f!

that a Bendix 641 may be the right one to use; however, the auto parts say
that that number is superceded by Bendix 11668. Jim tried the 11668 and
its too long to fit under the front cover.

>Patrick & Manny I think both of you have installed the TSM kits. What are
you doing for a master cylinder? I had no problem for about 10,000 miles
until now. Have you put many miles on yours since the modification? If
not, you may end up having the same problem at some time in the future.
