That makes sense. If it was open to everyone, I could see it getting
out of control very quickly.

Interesting concept. A couple other maillists that I subscribe to have
occasional "gatherings", either at larger events or by themselves. It
would be neat to arrange a gathering and possibly a work party of GMC
maillist subscribers.

Hi Patrick:

I'm back.

The work rally you refer to is a GMC Dixielander event held at the
Samsul's (sp?) in Bean Station TN, which is about 50 miles E NE of
Knoxville. I'm told there will be two rally's there this year. I don't
have the dates yet.

In addition, the GMC Great Lakers will also have a work rally in mid May
at the Wirth's in, I believe, Hartville OH (Akron area). Since I don't
have my roster at work I'm trying to go by memory on their location.

Any thoughts on creating a accessible data base of owners who have
installed coach upgrades that others could access for help and
information?

Regards,

Paul

Dave:

I'm told that anyone (even non GMC'ers) can attend another FMCA Chapter
rally regardless of membership status as long as they are a FMCA member,
without prejudice??

One of the many subjects that Paul and I discussed over lunch last
Tuesday was my desire to put together a "Tech" section for the web site.
This would be a place to outline common repairs and mod's with
instructions, helpful hints and pictures. It would be easy to add a
list of GMCnetters who've BTDT and would be willing to field questions
from others considering doing this sort of work themselves.

Keep in mind that I would have to excercise some editorial discretion
over comments. Any negative(or possibly positive) comments you might
make concerning a supplier's product would need to couched in terms of
your "opinions".

Comments?
