Hello everyone,

Just purchased a road worthy 1973 Canyonlands, and I have a lot to learn! My wife Tracy and I did a lot of camping in a travel trailer when our kids were young. Have not camped in over 10 years. A friend ( we have traveled with many times) ) purchased this in Maine about 3 months ago. He has since found another coach in Florida he is on his way to pick up. We agreed to buy the 73 so we can hit the road together. It looks like International travel is not happening for us anytime soon so we decided to become GMC’ers. I appreciate this forum and expect to learn a lot from the community. Thank you!

JohnC,

Welcome to the group, family, cult, asylum.....

There is something you should know about the 73-23s, they have a lot that is different than the rest of the family. For this and other reasons, please create a sigfile to include your real name because we like to know who we are helping and it is less awkward when we meet. A short about the coach including major mods as that may make a difference. And last a geographic reference because one of you sudden new old friends may be in striking range in Mid-New York and may be of great assistance. If you recent PO is not on this board, get him here too

This is an amazingly helpful and supporting group that has a non-secret agenda. That is to see to it that you get to fully understand both what your coach does and what it can do for you. The only other community that I have known of this level of support is that of the watermen that are my world. For this reason. I like to welcome new owners here much as you might be there. So,

May the Good Lord bless this coach and all those that set forth within her.

Welcome JohnC

Matt

Welcome to the GMC family! You'll want to join the GMC Nor'easters Club. Lots of hands on experience and knowledge to share face to face.

Also, be sure to update your GMCs pedigree at www.gmcmhregistry.com.

Thank you bdub, When I picked up the coach there were a few miscellaneous GMC Nor’easter memorabilia inside including coffee cups and a cool vintage cutting board with the logo. So of course I had to google it and much to my surprise the Coach I bought is prominent in the photos ( It has a light house mural on passenger side). Just starting down this road so I will be soaking up as much knowledge as I can. Thank you.

Welcome John and Tracy! If you join the Nor'easters, we actually have a private sub-group here on GMCMHforum. It's not very active right now but I imagine it will become so as newer/younger members join the club.
