Donald,
Your concern about weight in the tail started me thinking. I have a steep
driveway up to my house and my GMC barely climbs the hill without spinning the
front wheels. In fact I've had to have an assist from my jeep in 4WD on a few
occasions. The local tire people tell me that there is nothing better than the
Goodyear G159's. Seems that reducing the tail weight and moving itup over the
front axel may help my problem. Question: What does this shift in loading do
to the original GMC engineering? Will this overload the front axels and further
stress the hubs??? Thoughts anyone??

YES!!YES!!YES!!! Indeed it does climb the driveway without spinning out. Sure
wish I had a lower reverse gear however. Wonder why reverse is geared for 30
mph???
