I was reviewing some old messages and noticed that the flow of hot exhaust
gasses through this passage is governed by a "heat-riser valve" mounted at one
end of the exhaust manifold.
Does this mean that those of us who have installed headers no longer have this
valve? If so, is there no longer a flow of hot exhaust gasses through the
passage under the carb?
