headlight clips

[chuck camroux]

'nuther question. The clips that hold the plastic headlight/turn
signal faceplate on (just can't think of the proper name for the moment)
must be sold special. I went all over, looked at Tinnerman clips (which are
too tight going over the fiberglass), etc. The ones on the coach are like
light sheet metal (but are not). I lost a couple of screws and then I guess
the clips fell off. Can't find new clips anywhere. Of course I could
probably get them made, but they may be off the shelf for cheap (read
little bucks). Any thoughts where I can pick them up?

Chuck:

I believe they are called J clips or J nuts. See if your local body shop supply
store has them. Cinnabar has them also.

HI Paul - I know that AutoZone has them. They also have the even
thicker ones that fit the front wheel well liners. They have them
for both sheet metal screws and for threaded screws.

I would suspect that many of the auto parts stores have them.

At AutoZone they were in the little blister plastic packages on their
rack with screws, nuts, etc.
