I have been to the Doug Thorley web site and they quoted me a price of $550
for coated headers..He said that a firm called Sermatech does their coating
for them...Is anyone fimiliar with this firms work???.. I would think that
Doug Thorley would know about coating headers.. Thanks Pat Morrison 74

Fairly thick coating. Good quality. Last I checked they don't warranty
their coatings for exhaust systems.

HPC uses a thinner coating but warranties their coating. Free recoating
within 3 years if defective, 50% after 3 years. Since Al-ceramics are
sacrificial materials, they eventually "wear out" and will need to be recoated.

Materials may be different between HPC and Sermatech. Processes for
creating the coating are almost certainly different.

Thanks for the reply Tom. Like everthing else on our coaches there is
nothing black and white it seems, everthing is shades of gray..Does Swaine
