improvment in power and about 2 miles/gal. gas milage...from about 8 to
10miles/gal.My little 413 seems to have a lot more power than my 455..

Emory,

Started the first of the built 403 motors today. This is the one with the
Caspro chain & diff. set up. Tomorrow we ride, I'll let you know how it
goes.

The coach was pretty much a pig before, the time chain was so loose that we
took it off without removing the gears! That would explain the pigginess.
The fresh 30 over cammed motor with the gear set up should wake up the wide
load!!

Fri. we crank up the stock gear set up so this week will be pretty cool.

Pray for us!

Tom,

I had so much trouble with manifolds and none in three years with the
headers. They were on a year before the 3.70 final drive ratio. All I had
then was a 3.21. When I took the first trip with the headers, low
restriction mufflers, and 3" exhaust, I was sure I could feel more power,
better hill climbing, etc. It may have been wishful thinking but it felt
good!
