Hazy Windshield Borders

Has anyone had a chance to apply the heat treatment (low temp irons on the
interior/exterior) that was suggested here on a previous post re. the haze
that results from the delamination of the glass? If so, were the results
satisfactory? Would a heat gun work better, given the curvature of the
glass?
