Nelson,
Thanks for the posting on the hatch cover fasteners I have searched
periodically since I had my first GMC and broke them by laying the hatch
down without tightening them, and then steping on the hatch. I tried lower
shock clips from "70s GM cars, body shop supply as well as Cinnebar ( I
guess I should have thought of Jim Bounds). I can live with the wing nut I
have now on my current GMC,but it would be nice to have the right part ( PO
broke this one).
What is really great about this web site is someone always seems to have the
right source. Now if someone has a front over couch driver side cabinet with
Louvered doors!!!

Hi Patrick,
I believe I started this thread about a week or two ago. After having tried
most of the "solutions" on my first GMC with no success. I needed a better
solution than the PO used on my current GMC( stud and wingnut ) I turned to
the net to try for an answer . Someone mentioned Jim Bounds at the Co-op I
spoke with him and he will have a source for both parts ( male and female)
soon. By the way anybody have a " Front over couch driver side cabinet with
Louvered doors for sale? Northeast preferred.
