Thanks Rob,

I sand or bead blast that area of the stick, but now after seeing this article I think the horizontal grooves from a file might be a better idea.
When checking the oil I always look at the sight holes first thing after pulling the stick. If the bottom one has fluid and the top one doesn't, I
know I am somewhere within range. After that, I try to see if I can find exactly where the fluid line is between the holes.
