Just got home Saturday afternoon from a round trip from San Antonio to
Jacksonville, FL and return in my 1976 Glenbrook.
All went well with the mh with one minor exception. We noticed the carpet
between the bathroom door and the closet got wet. We also discovered the
carpet inside the closet got wet. Upon investigation I discovered that the
plastic water pressure regulator had cracks in it and it was spraying a fine
spray of water on the backside of the closet lining. A trip to the RV store
and a new metal city water reciptal, new inline metal water pressure
regulator and a fitting to hook up the water line fixed everything.
I still am not happy with the performance of the air conditioner in the
dash. I have the new style but it seems like it is not enough to keep me
cool enough in the drivers seat. Of course it was 100 degrees plus. I will
have to look deeper into that system.
Another thing we found out is the GMC is a little small for 4 people to stay
overnight in for more than a couple of days. Traveling was no problem but
trying to get to bed and trying to get up the next morning takes a lot of
patients with that many people in the GMC.
Now, the task to clean up everything to get ready for the next trip has been
started.
