I purchased our first 1977 Kingsley near Billings what seems like months ago. It made an uneventful drive home, but after much exploring, find that is is past due for pretty much everything! In the meantime I purchased a 2nd 1977 Eleganza II, which I swapped out the aluminum 16" wheels and re-sold it. It was pretty visually rough (knick named "the Lab"), but mechanically a 6-7. I made sure it was roadworthy (read: safe and reliable) and delivered it to it's temporary new home in Reno NV. There is a guy there that bought at least 7 of them and plans on refurbishing them all and putting them back on the market. Obviously I have learned a lot about these in a short amount of time. Working on cars is kind of my thing. I am a machinist by trade, a husband, grandpa, and pet owner among other things the wife would gladly describe given a chance. I figured I would give it a little time (experience) before joining the Blacklist. I have yet to meet in person another owner, not counting our original seller, the 2nd seller, who happens to be a personal friend, and the purchaser of "the Lab" that went to Reno. I have bought a few parts from a few of you already, and Applied has my #! I have been fairly active on a few groups on FB, mostly in search of parts. Our 1st coach was refurbished after a fire years ago by Jim B., and while changing the title learned it had been branded in a few states for one reason or another. They couldn't give me specific details. Anyway, I can't wait to get to know as many of you as possible!

Welcome!

I find that FB is good for sharing pictures, but trying to get help or sharing best practices just turn into a cluster of opinions.
This forum as well as the antiquated http://gmc.mybirdfeeder.net/GMCforum/ are the best places for genuibe GMC Motorhome knowledge.

I am either luck or unlucky enough to be able to stop in at Applied on a weekly basis! Jim and his team are AWESOME.

Good to know there is a budding GMC flipper in Reno.

I agree on the FB comment. I have pretty much every GMC site bookmarked, and joined mybirdfeeder. I am a liitle bit jealous, as I am almost single-handedly supporting USPS via Applied! To put a name to the budding flipper, it is Ty Chamberlain. Expect high end coaches, at least that is their plan. I spoke with Ty on the phone, and his financial partner took delivery, as he was off trying to get another coach loaded on a truck.

Clean-looking coach! Welcome to the asylum ?

Greetings neighbor! You are probably the closest GMC owner in my geographical area. If you're come down to Pullman for a football game, let me know. I'd be glad to show you my GMC, have a beer and swap stories.
