The 3/16 line running from the MC to the proportional valve had a compression union in the middle that the PO put in a long time ago.  It never gave me a problem but I never liked it because you are relying on friction vs. a mechanical seal.  Also, the nut connectiing the line to the MC on the 1/4 line was damaged and required way too much torque to seal.  With problems on three of the four ends and a potential problem in the middle of one line, it was time to replace both.  Cutting them out was easier than trying to pull them out through all the obstacles.  Now I've got to thread new lines up, down and sideways through the maze.  NICOPP sounds like a logical solution.  Hopefully, someone will provide insight on NICOPP.  It sounds almost too good to be true and that in itself makes me skeptable.  Having stumbled daily for 77-years makes a man that way.
As ever, I appreciate suggestions.
