Hey Troops.......I just cracked the Websters and under the word "club" it
states, "An association of persons for some common object usually jointly
supported and meeting periodically". We already have a club, so why do we
have to tie in with anyone else? Let's get together once I a while if we
can and maybe make up a little pin so we can sneak up on each other at
other folks get togethers. No dues, no paperwork, no bylaws, no secret
handshakes, no nuttin! All you need to join is a GMC, a computer and a
smile.

Now I am not going to quote anything here because this is to all of
the replies here. I think we should be a chapter. But this chapter is
different. It does not cost us anything to get together, OK ISP fees.
We use our ISPs for more than just GMC net. I think to be a member
the dues should be much higher. You must own a computer and a GMC,
you must also contribute at least 12 ideas a year. Now I know this may
seem a little radical but we are now in the information age. I would bet
that some of you have saved some money because of what someone
said. Then information is money. The whole chapter thing was a good
last year--------this is a new day and age. I dont think this chapter
should
be about money but about information. It might not fit all of the rules as
they stand today------------but tomorrow is not that far away. Think about
it you could be a member for what you know-----not what you have. I must
admit I have no idea what kind of rules FMCA, as I joined to get the GMC
info. OK so am out here in right field. I just think this place is special
and
maybe we should think beyond the present rules. I would like to know what
some of you quiet type think!!! Some of us just cant shut up. I like the
thoughts of a cyber chapter------just dont want it to be modeled after the
land based ones. Oh come on-----yell at me tell me why this cant happen.
Think about it----its a new medium-------remember how silly TV was in the
early days. Well, we are out front on this one-------like it or not!!! I
would
love to hear your thoughts on our Cyber GMC rankings. You must admit
its been a fun year and Patrick has made it happen. That is one mans idea
on how to use the info age technology. Gene, Scott, Heinz, Zak and others
have added to our knowledge base-----maybe that is it after your first year
you must have a page with good ideas. Just kidding !!
